'Do not use Sat Nav' - Gardaí issue warning to attendees of upcoming festival

Gardaí are warning attendees of an upcoming festival not to use Sat Nav to get there.

A traffic plan for All Together Now was released by An Garda Síochána earlier today (August 2) with details for motorists attending the festival.

The popular event is due to take place at Curraghmore House, Portlaw in Co Waterford from Friday (August 4) to Sunday (August 6).

Gardaí advise motorists to use the All Together Now (ATN) app, Garda Twitter, or An Garda Síochána Facebook pages for Waterford/Kilkenny/Carlow to access traffic updates and information on getting to the gates.

Regular Traffic updates will feature on Garda Twitter, local Facebook pages and local media, and motorists should follow the recommended routes for each entry gate.

Gardaí are also reminding attendees that the event is taking place in a rural location, with other road users and residents using the routes; there is only one route through Portlaw Village and no festival traffic will be allowed access from any other route.

According to Gardaí, Bus Éireann are operating daily shuttles to the festival from Waterford Bus Station in Waterford City.

There is no set down area at the festival site on Friday, but a shuttle bus will operate to the festival site on this day from Highfield Business Park, just outside Portlaw.

There is no parking at this location, it is for set down only.

There will also be a return shuttle to Highfield Business Park from the festival on Monday.
