The cost of home-heating oil has risen again, at a time when homeowners will be planning to fill up ahead of the winter months.
An average tank fill will now costs around €1,036 for a 1,000-litre tank.
In the past week alone the cost of a full tank has jumped by more than €50. This was one of the largest increases recently.
The average price for 1,000 litres was €900 just a few weeks ago.
However, despite these increases, there is still a significant difference in prices on a county by county with Monaghan having the lowest average charge of €536.83 for 500 litres, closely followed by Donegal at €540.33 for a 500 litre fill.
Galway has the highest price listed at €555.05 for 500 litres. Oil in Roscommon costs an average €554.80 for 500 litres while Westmeath was also high at €551.44.
In May a half tank will cost on average of just €460 but has now jumped by almost €100 in recent months.
Families tend to order a fill of oil ahead of the winter, with many due an unexpected surprise as costs soar.
According to oilprices.ie, oil tends to be cheaper around cities, especially Cork and Dublin, and more expensive in remote areas.
"We've seen price differences across the country of up to €150. The difference is largely because of increased competition in the cities, and the higher cost of delivery in rural areas," the website outlines.

There is further bad news for hard-pressed homeowners as an impending carbon tax increase will see further increases, which will add around €20 extra to the cost of filling a tank.
