The average price of a new property in Ireland rose by €28,000 last year, a new property report shows.
Home sales prices have risen 9.7% compared to the same period last year, the latest Geowox Housing Market Report reveals. The report includes all entries in the Irish residential property price register.
The median price for a property in Ireland in Q2 ’23 is €318,000, up €28,000 when compared to the same period in 2022 (Q2 ‘22).
Co. Wicklow was the most expensive county, with properties commanding an average price of €425,000 in the second quarter of 2023.
Co. Leitrim remained the most affordable county, with properties priced at an average of €151,000.
Among all the counties, Co. Dublin and its neighboring commuting counties Wicklow, Kildare, Meath were the only ones with prices exceeding the national median of €318,000.
