Gardaí have warned people to be vigilant of the latest text scam doing the rounds.
The message, purporting to be from the credit union, is yet another way for fraudsters to steal personal information and money from unsuspecting individuals.
The message instructs people to visit a disguised fake credit union website link.
Posting on Facebook, gardaí said: "Here is another example of a scam text doing the rounds, purporting to be from your credit union.
"Please remember never to click on the link contained in such texts and always delete on receipt.
"If you have responded to such a text or paid the scammers, contact your bank immediately and report the matter to your local Garda Station."
