ALERT: Major safety concern prompts recall of faulty toaster sold to Irish consumers

A popular kitchen appliance sold to hundreds of Irish consumers is being recalled due to a major safety issue.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), BSH Home Appliances Limited is carrying out a recall on the Bosch StyleLine Electric Toaster due to faulty electronics in the product which may trigger ignition.

This can lead to fire and burns.

The type/number of models include TAT8611GB and TAT8613GB, with batch numbers FD0201 to FD0306.

There are approximately 398 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Customers are advised to check whether their appliance is affected by this recall and to disconnect your affected product from the mains supply and do not use it.
