RÓISÍN WILEY, who was recently crowned the International Rose of Tralee has been spotted at the National Ploughing championships which are taking place in county Laois.

Róisín, who lives and works in New York, was pictured alongside fellow Wexford and Laois roses while being interviewed by Irish comedy duo, the 2 Johnnies.

Roísín who holds a strong connection to Ireland through her parents both hailing from county Limerick was crowned this year's winner at the festival in Kerry last month.

Despite the horrendous conditions in Ratheniska, county Laois, Róisín seemed in high spirits as she posed outside the RTÉ radio van.

Over 66,000 people attended day one of the championships with larger crowds expected for the following days with the improved weather.
