Two drivers parked in accessibility spaces in Dublin have been caught using disabled parking permits belonging to deceased people.
That's according to Gardaí, who confirmed roads policing units in Dublin made the discovery on Make Way Day yesterday (September 22).
The units issued multiple fixed charge notices for parking offences during the day, with a total of three disabled parking permits seized for misuse.

Make Way Day is a campaign that brings the disability and wider community together to consider the needs of people with disabilities in public spaces.
Obstacles which often stop people with disabilities in their tracks include cars parked on footpaths, bicycles illegally parked, and bins left on footpaths.
The Naas Roads Policing Unit also detected a number of vehicles parked illegally and dangerously yesterday.
Addressing the issue on X, Gardaí stated, "Please consider the difficulties faced by people every day with disabilities due to obstacles blocking footpaths and accessible parking spaces."
