GARDAÍ intervened on the M1 motorway to apprehend a learner driver who was caught driving recklessly in adverse weather conditions.
The Dundalk Roads Policing Unit, spotted the offending vehicle speeding at 60kph in the hard shoulder, a violation of road safety regulations.
The incident unfolded during challenging weather conditions, heightening concerns for the safety of both the driver and other road users.
Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that the driver was a learner.
Gardaí then seized the vehicle and the driver will now face court.
