Gardaí have fined a motorist caught illegally parked in a disabled bay in Co Kildare.
Trainee Garda Peppard reportedly spotted the offending vehicle in the disabled bay and confirmed the driver did not have a permit.
According to An Garda Síochána, the driver reportedly said, "Ah I was only a minute. Sure I had to use the ATM!"
Posting about the incident on X (formerly Twitter), An Garda Síochána stated "We're afraid excuses aren't good enough".
A fine of €150 was issued to the motorist.
Gardaí stated, "This turned out to be a €150 more expensive of a trip."
