A picture of a loyal dog waiting patiently outside a church in Kilkenny for his owner to finish Mass has been melting hearts online since it was published yesterday.
The picture was taken by Fr Willie Purcell at the Capuchin Friary on Friary Street in Kilkenny City.
"Met this loyal dog outside the Friary in Kilkenny this morning (St Stephen's Day)," Fr Purcell said.
"He sat patiently while Mass was going on waiting for his master."
Many have since shared the image, captivated by the unconditional love and patience shown by the caring canine.
