The fundraiser is to assist in the travel-related expenses for Jordan Byrne and his family

A fundraiser has been launched to raise money for a Donegal man and his family after he was recently diagnosed with two brain tumours in Saudi Arabia.

Jordan Byrne, from Killybegs, is 25 years old and moved to Saudi Arabia to further his nursing career in November 2023. He was admitted to hospital for Meningitis treatment on December 6 and after an MRI, a CT scan and further tests they discovered the tumours.

“Jordan is a male nurse who has given so much to so many in his nursing career,” his aunt Angela McCarthy posted on GoFundMe. "He worked in the hospital during the multiple waves of the pandemic.

"Jordan is going to undergo radiation treatment in Saudi Arabia and his parents Fiona and Aidan Byrne are travelling over to Saudi Arabia to be with him for his treatments.

"This page will help cover any medical costs and travel-related expenses for Jordan and his family. Any help you can give, no matter how little would mean the world to them. Thank you all for your prayers, love and concern to date.”
