Gardaí have carried out a search operation of a residence in Castleisland, Co Kerry.
During the search, gardaí seized two firearms, ammunition, €35,000 worth of drugs and €2,365 in cash following a search operation in Castleisland on Sunday 7th January, 2024.
The drugs seized are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
A garda spokesperson has stated: "A man in his 40s was arrested as part of the investigation and is currently detained at a Garda Station in County Kerry pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996."
Investigations are also said to be ongoing.
