Irish consumers are being warned of an allergen alert attached to batches of cup noodles.

According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI), the batches of Nissin cup noodle products contain ingredients which are incorrectly declared on the label.

The products reportedly contain wheat (cereals containing gluten), crustaceans, molluscs, soya, milk, eggs and fish, which may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten (wheat), crustaceans, molluscs, soybeans, milk, eggs and/or fish.

The affected products include the XO Sauce Seafood and Spicy Seafood cup noodles (74g) with best before dates of 26/05/2024 and 28/04/2024 respectively.

Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display an allergen alert notice at point-of-sale.
