Gardaí appeal for witnesses following crash that left man in his 20s dead

Gardaí in Listowel are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the N69 yesterday evening, Wednesday, 10th April 2024.

Gardaí and emergency services responded after two cars collided on the N69 at Banemore, Listowel, County Kerry, around 9 pm.

A male passenger in his 20s from one car sustained serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital Kerry where he was pronounced deceased this afternoon, Thursday, 11th April 2024.

Three other individuals were taken to hospital for assessment and treatment, their injures are not life threatening. 
 
The N69 (Listowel to Tralee road) has since reopened to traffic after examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The local Coroner has been notified.

Gardaí urge witnesses to come forward. Road users on the N69 between Tralee and Listowel yesterday evening from 8:30 pm to 9:15 pm with camera footage, including dash cam, are requested to provide it to investigators.
