A man aged in his 20s has been left in a serious condition after receiving multiple lacerations in an assault in Dublin.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the “serious” assault in Clondalkin on Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to the incident at St Cuthbert’s Park and the victim was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.
Gardai described his condition as “serious but stable”.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and an incident room has been established at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
The investigation is being led by a Garda Senior Investigating Officer (SIO). No arrests have been made.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or to those with mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam recordings from the area at the time to contact them.
