Dublin Fire Brigade and emergency services are at the scene of a vehicle on fire on the M1 near Swords in Dublin, which has caused major delays.
A HGV fire between Junction 4 (Donabate) and Junction 5 (Balbriggan) of the northbound M1 was reported to emergency services, and firefighters are currently at the scene.

The HGV fire has resulted in the closure of a northbound section of the M1, and major delays are expected.
Gardaí are also at the scene, and are turning around the motorists who were stuck behind the HGV.
Much of the northbound traffic has headed for R132, which is currently experiencing 70 minute delays. The M1 is currently experiencing up to 100 minute delays.
Long distance traffic is being urged to consider using the N2.
