A lorry deemed "an immediate risk" to other drivers was removed from the motorway by Gardaí recently.
According to An Garda Síochána, Fermoy officers stopped the lorry on the M8 after it was spotted carrying an improperly secured load.
It was found to have numerous defects, including badly damaged tyres.
Gardaí removed the lorry from the road due to the safety risk it posed to other drivers.
