Motorists have been urged to drive with care due to delays in a number of major Irish motorways.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has warned motorists that traffic is currently being metered in the South bore of Dublin Tunnel.

"Be patient, queue ahead!... Drive with care!" TII urged drivers on social media.

TII has also warned that an afternoon crash shortly after 1.30pm on M1 between J15 - Castlebellingham and J14 - Ardee/N2 has affected Lane 2 in the southbound direction.

There was also a queue on M50 J02 - Santry (In-bound) on Slip M50 to R104.

Earlier on Saturday morning, debris was cleared on the M2/N2 J03 - Ashbourne which affected southbound traffic.
