'Tickets will be cancelled' - Oasis in warning to fans as Croke Park dates sell out

The tickets for the band's two Croke Park dates next year have virtually sold out with just expensive premium tickets remaining

Oasis have issued a warning to fans over certain resale tickets amid a Ticketmaster scramble for dates in Croke Park and the UK on Saturday morning.

Tickets for August 16 and 17 in Croke Park next year went on sale at 8am via Ticketmaster and while thousands of fans encountered technical issues, the gigs are now virtually sold-out.

The only tickets remaining are premium level with prices too prohibitive for ordinary fans. A similar scramble for the UK dates in London and Manchester ensued an hour later at 9am with similar issues.

Disgruntled fans also took to social media to share screenshots of resale tickets posted minutes after the sale opened with some being offered for over €1,000.

This prompted Oasis to issue an update to fans via their official social media pages. They warned: "Please note, Oasis Live ‘25 tickets can only be resold at face value via Ticketmaster and Twickets. Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters."

Thousands of people logged on to Ticketmaster this morning hoping to grab tickets but some ended up in virtual queues with hundreds of thousands of people ahead of them. It is thought international fans, as well as Irish and UK fans, have been flooding the site since early this morning.

One fan posted a photograph of two laptop screens after joining the queue for both dates, August 16 and August 17, and had a combined 800,000 people ahead of him, making it virtually impossible for him to secure tickets.

The tickets, which start at €86.50, are like to be the hottest around in 2025 as Oasis have confirmed their run of comeback shows will be the only gigs they play. They will not be playing Glastonbury or Electric Picnic to reach more fans.

One person desperate to see the band tagged the band in a post on X on Saturday, saying, "Extra Croke Park date required."

Another woman posted a picture of her screen with almost 300,000 people ahead of her in a queue for one of the Croke Park gigs.

"I was in the queue the second they went on sale. The seating capacity is 82,300. My daughter and son-in-law will be so disappointed. 3:13AM her, so I am off to bed. Wishing you all the best. Take care."

Someone else who had over 500,000 people ahead of them in the queue wrote: "Assuming Croke Park let half a million people stand on the pitch, I think I'm in with a chance of going to Oasis."

Blasting Ticketmaster, one fan took to X and told the company: "Extremely frustrating, in a queue knocked out and now can't get back in. History repeating itself yet again. Cannot handle the pressure and no wonder people are getting annoyed!"

To people having issues, Ticketmaster responded, "Please make sure you are only using one tab, clear your cookies, refresh, and ensure you aren't using any VPN software on your device." Fans were quick to reply that the advice doesn't work.

Another frustrated fan was excited as it appeared they would get tickets only to be hit with technical issues: "I joined at 1,400 in the queue, got in 20 mins ago and it’s just spinning on ‘confirming availability’ ever since?"

Fans are now also frustrated with tickets already cropping up on resale sites for hundreds and thousands of Euro.
