Gardaí have seized a firearm, cocaine and cannabis, and arrested a man at a location in Dublin on Wednesday evening.
During the course of an intelligence-led operation, Gardaí from the Coolock Drugs Unit stopped and searched a man in his 20s.
A double-barrel shotgun and 0.5 kg of suspected cocaine, worth an estimated €35,000 was seized. Suspected cannabis worth approximately €250 was also seized.
In a statement, Gardaí said that the firearm was "made safe", and that the weapon will be sent to the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau for analysis.
The drugs seized will reportedly be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) for analysis.
The arrested man is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region, and investigations are ongoing.
