Scotland is giving people cash, accommodation and free food amid power outages
The man behind Carlow Weather, Alan O' Reilly, has shared a document to his social media platform on X to show the support Scottish electricity providers are giving to people without power in Scotland.
The providers are allowing £30 per person per day for food and drinks to all customers.
Accommodation aid is also being provided to those who are in exceptional circumstances.
Food vans are also being deployed to areas across Scotland to give free hot food and drinks to affected customers.
Customers without power for more than 48 hours will be compensated £85 and a further £40 will be compensated after every six hours onwards.

An X user commented on this post, "This is true, hotels being offered to customers just now near Stirling."
"Still no electricity where we are. I’ve a genny which helps greatly, but there’s real suffering out there," another user said.
Another person said, "In excess of €39 a day to run generators, travelling miles upon miles to get a phone signal, depending on the good will of people for flasks of tea/soup- just some of what's going on @ESBNetworks @FineGael @fiannafailparty @MarianHarkin what is the reimbursement plan."
