Makayla Brady from Malahide, County Dublin has been found 'safe and well'
A public appeal for help in locating a missing schoolgirl has been stood down, gardai have confirmed.
The appeal was issued at the end of last month after 16-year-old Makayla Brady vanished from her home in Malahide, County Dublin on Sunday, March 30.
A number of searches have been carried out since and gardai have now issued a positive update.
"Makayla Brady who is reported missing from Malahide, County Dublin since Sunday, March 30 2025, has been located safe and well," said a spokesperson in a brief statement, issued this Thursday morning.

Gardai, who have not disclosed any further information publicly, have thanked members of the public and the media for the assistance with the missing person appeal.
