Fatal car crash in Donegal sees woman (70s) dead and man (50s) in hospital
A woman in her 70s has died and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital following a fatal road collision in Donegal, Donegal Live has reported.
The crash occurred on the R245 at Bunlin Bridge, Milford, Co. Donegal on Friday May 30 2025.
The incident, involved a car and a van and occurred at approximately 7.30pm.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The male driver of the van, aged in his 50s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to Donegal Live that the collision was “serious”.
There were no other injuries reported, according to An Garda Siochana.
The road remains closed at this time pending examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage and/or dash-cam and were travelling in the area between 7.15pm and 7.45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
