Animal Haven Ireland share the dogs available in their care on a daily basis, some with very dark back stories like their "heartbreak girl" Olivia.
Here is pictures of nine dogs ready for their forever home but the endless list goes on of dogs in need of a home in Ireland.
First up is Olivia who is now roughly 12 months old and is an ex hoarding girl who "has bad memories and nightmares that still haunt her".
The Haven notes that Olivia loves all dogs and has no issue with cats but is "just afraid of everything".
"She will lay at your feet and shake. Away from our busy rescue she is so much better. She calms and rolls over for a belly rub. So we know she really needs a private home.
"She wants to be loved and we see such a difference already but she needs more. It's not Olivia’s fault she is so fearful and slow to forgive. All of us can't even imagine how much these beautiful, innocent souls suffer but what we can do together....is change their future".
