Man in 40s remains in serious condition in hospital after an assault in Dublin
A man in his 40s was seriously assaulted in Dublin on Friday last and now remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have information to the incident that occurred on Friday 25th July 2025.
The incident took place on Sean McDermott Street at around 10pm.
A man, aged in his 40s, is now in Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition, gardai have said.
A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Mountjoy Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

Any persons, including road users and pedestrians, who were in the Sean McDermott Street / Diamond Park area between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on Friday 25th July 2025 and who may have footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
