Investigation after man’s body found in Co Tipperary

An investigation has begun into the death of a man whose body was discovered in Co Tipperary on Monday.

Gardai said at approximately 3.30am, emergency services were alerted after a male in his 40s was found unresponsive at a residence in Carrick-on-Suir.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination, the coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information related to this incident to come forward, including any road users who were in the area of Cregg Road, Carrick-on-Suir, between 8pm on Friday and 3.30am on Monday.
