A woman has been rescued after falling from a cliff in South Dublin.
On Monday evening, August 18, assistance was requested from the National Emergency Operation Centre following an incident at famed beauty spot, Shanganagh Beach.

Marine Rescue Co-ordination Centre Dublin tasked Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard Unit and the Dublin-based Coast Guard Helicopter R116 to the scene. The incident took place at approximately 8:30pm.
Following an extraction from the scene, the casualty was transferred into the care of the National Ambulance Service.
It has been reported by the Irish Sun that the woman sustained "multiple serious injuries" following the 40-foot drop and has since been hospitalised.
