Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses in relation to an alleged assault at Quaker Street, Cork City, yesterday night, Monday October 6, 2025.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following report of the incident, that occurred at approximately 10pm.
A male (aged in his 40’s) was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The scene is preserved for technical examination and the road is currently closed with local diversions in place.
Investigations are ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
