An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in Mallow in Co Cork.
The body of the man, aged in his 40s, was found at Rockview Terrace, Doneraile, in the early hours of Sunday.
Gardai said they are considering “all of the circumstances surrounding” the man’s death.
His body remains at the scene and assistant state pathologist Dr Margot Bolster has been contacted to attend.
The Garda Technical Bureau has also been requested to attend the scene.
A senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Mallow Garda Station.
A family liaison officer has also been assigned to provide support to the family.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them and are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the vicinity of Doneraile village on Sunday from midnight to 2am.
