Teenager arrested after Gardaí find cocaine, crossbow and handguns in vehicle in Dublin

A teenager has been arrested after Gardaí found several weapons, guns, and drugs during a search of a vehicle in Dublin on Wednesday morning.

As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin’s Inner City area, Gardaí attached to the DMR North Central Drugs Unit from Store Street conducted a search of a vehicle in the Beaumont area of Dublin 9 in the early hours of Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025.

During the search, Gardaí discovered a cache of firearms, firearm components, ammunition and drugs.

Among the items seized were a lever action rifle, a crossbow, two disassembled handguns, a silencer, an air pistol, 553 shotgun shells, various types of ammunition and three knives.

Drugs seized at the scene included crack cocaine and cocaine with an estimated value of €2,000, diamorphine valued at approximately €500 and a small quantity of cannabis.

One adult male in his late teens was arrested and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.

All firearms, ammunition, drugs seized will be subject to forensic and technical analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
