Man in his 50s dies following horror collision as Gardaí issue appeal for witnesses
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident that occurred at the Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, Cork City, yesterday, Wednesday December 3, 2025.

The incident, involving a car, occurred at approximately 1.50pm.

The driver, a man aged in his 50’s, was conveyed to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

The road has since reopened.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
