A 15-year-old was caught driving on an Irish motorway towards Dublin in a shocking incident that has prompted a warning from gardaí.
The teen was stopped by Laois Roads Policing Unit on the M7 on Tuesday night, with gardaí quickly discovering the driver had no licence, no insurance and no tax.
Sharing the incident online, gardaí pointed out that most teenagers that age are currently focused on exams, and not motorway driving.
"Most 15 year olds at the moment are at home flat out preparing for the Junior Cert," they said.
"Last night on the M7, Laois RPU encountered a different subject entirely. Motorway Driving (Definitely not on the syllabus)."

Gardaí confirmed the car had been travelling towards Dublin when it was stopped.
They added: "This vehicle was stopped travelling to Dublin with no tax and no insurance.
"THE DRIVER WAS 15 YEARS OLD."
The car, a Suzuki, was seized at the scene with gardaí saying: "Suzuki Swiftly Seized".
In a final tongue-in-cheek warning, gardaí added: "Safe to say this subject won't appear on the exam paper."
