Man dies in hospital following Co Longford crash

A man has died in hospital following a crash in Co Longford last weekend.

Gardai said one car was involved in the incident on the R392 in Ballymahon shortly after midnight on Sunday March 29.

They said a man in his 30s, the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore where he died on Friday from his injuries.

“Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them,” the Garda spokesperson said.

“Any motorists who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Longford Garda Station on (043) 3350570, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
