New car sales up nineteen on this time last year in Carlow

An increase of 19 new cars on last year
New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) reveal that new car sales have increased by just over 1% year on year in Carlow.
There were a total of 1,426 new 182 registered cars sold in Carlow up to July this year, compared to the 1,407 of the 172 registered cars sold between January and July last year.
Car sales figures nationally for the month of July show that 182 registrations are down 2.75%. A total of 26,944 of the 182 cars changed hands in July this year, compared to 27,707 last year.
Light Commercials are currently up 12.4% (4,433) compared to July last year (3,944), while Heavy Goods Vehicle registrations were also up 23.28% (376) in comparison to July 2017 (305).
