Carlow CFR giving a demonstration
Carlow Town Community First Responders are seeking new members to join their team of volunteers (working under the auspices of the National Ambulance Service) who respond to stroke, choking, heart attack and cardiac arrest incidents.
There will be a Public Information Evening about the work of the group in St Mary’s Academy CBS (next to the Railway Station) on Wednesday, November 14 at 7.30pm.
Everyone is welcome and new volunteers aged 18 years plus can sign up for training on the evening.
Meanwhile, in conjunction with Penney’s Carlow the group is holding a collection day and demonstration on CPR on Saturday, December 1 from 10am.
Staff from Penney’s are holding a pajama day and all funds raised go to Carlow Town CFR.
The group added: "We will be demonstrating adult and child CPR outside Penney’s, so come along and meet us and have a go at life saving techniques."
