Rifle taken in Carlow burglary as Gardaí issue an appeal for information

Carlow gardaí are appealing for help from the public following a home burglary in Bagenalstown.

A house in Gormona, Bagenalstown, was burgled yesterday (Thursday) some time between 8.30am and noon.

The resident arrived home to find a rear window had been forced open. The house had been ransacked and a quantity of cash had been taken. A legally held rifle was also taken.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who saw any person or vehicle acting suspiciously in the area to contact them on (059) 9721212.
