Have you a poster in mind?

Creative Ireland Carlow, coordinated by Carlow Arts Office, have just announced a poster competition for ages 13–19 years.

2018 marked 100 years since the first-time Irish women were permitted by law to vote and stand in parliamentary elections.

This March 2019, Carlow College, St Patrick’s will hold a Conference "100 Years of Change for Women: Looking to the past; empowering the future".

As part of this, the Carlow Culture Team saw it as a perfect opportunity to reflect on this moment in history and call on the young people of Carlow to look forward and thrive towards young women becoming leaders of the future.

Organisers said: "With this in mind, we want young people to create a national campaign poster with striking slogan and design that empowers and encourages young women to become leaders.

"Along with two prizes for grabs, all entries will be exhibited at the Carlow Conference, of which more details will be available shortly and will host a number of truly inspiring speakers who have made waves for equality in their fields."
