As part of World Day of Prayer for Peace, Carlow Cathedral hosted mass marking the start of the New Year on Monday 1st January 2024.
The mass was celebrated by Bishop Nulty.
Carlow Gardaí, Carlow Fire and Rescue Service, Carlow Civil Defence and Carlow Order of Malta, ONE Veterens and Carlow Town Scouts Group all had representatives in attendance on the day.
Elected public representatives were also in attendance at the mass service, including Mayor of Carlow, Cllr Tom O'Neill and Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, Andrea Dalton.
After the event, attendees enjoyed tea and biscuits at the Parish Centre.
