The book launch saw Town Hall packed to capacity
The launch of 'Michael Governey (1852-1924), businessman, civic leader and family man' was launched in Carlow Town Hall last week.
Eugene Carbery's book on his maternal grandfather tells the story of a man born on a small tenant farm in Laois and chronicles Michael's central role in the business life of Carlow Town, his involvement in politics and as a family man.
Above are some pictures from the launch, thanks to Carlow County Museum.
