According to reports, Republic of Ireland centre-half Nathan Collins will undergo a medical at Brentford to secure a record-breaking transfer to the London club.

Collins, who became the most expensive Irish player following his transfer to Wolves from Burnley for a reported £20.5 million last summer, will break his own record with a £23 million (€25m+) fee agreed between Wolves and Brentford.

The 22-year-old made 26 Premier League appearances for Julen Lopetegui's side last season and was named Senior Men's International Player of the Year at the recent FAI International Awards ceremony. The Leixlip native has won 14 caps for the Boys in Green, scoring two goals to date.

Brentford, under the guidance of Danish manager Thomas Frank, finished in 9th place on the 2022/23 Premier League table.
