The 21-year-old Norwich City centre-half, who has been in and out of the Canaries' team so far this season, was omitted from Stephen Kenny's latest Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against France and the Netherlands.
Forest have a few hours to make a move for Omobamidele with the 11pm deadline fast approaching.
