Planning permission lodged for construction of 35 new homes in Carlow
Carlow County Council has received a planning application for a new housing development in the centre of Tullow which will consist of 35 residential units.
BroCon Properties Ltd submitted the application which is seeking permission for the development on a site located at The Green, Templeown on Abbey Street - just across from Lidl in the town centre.
The planning application proposes demolishing the existing two sheds currently on the site to facilitate the construction of the 35 new residential units.
These residential units will comprise of 14 three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached houses, 7 three-bedroom two-storey terraced units, 4 two-bedroom two-storey terraced units, and 10 two-bedroom duplex apartments within a two-storey block.

According to the plans, there will be 61 car parking spaces and one bicycle shelter which will contain 10 spaces.
The plans state that the development will be accessed and served by the existing N81 road and site services.
The proposal also includes plans on all associated internal access roads and footpaths, landscaping, boundary treatments, bin storage, private and public open space, site services and all infrastructural and ancillary site development works above and below ground.
Carlow County Council are due to make their decision by 30 September 2025.
