Tributes have been paid following the passing of local Carlow man

James (Jim) McLoughlin - May 23rd 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of James (Jim) McLoughlin of Quinagh House Carlow and formerly of Shanvaghera, Co. Mayo.

James passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 23rd 2024.

Beloved husband of Bridie and much loved father of Jaime, Claire, John and James. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brother John, sister Mary, sons-in-law Glen and Mark, daughter-in-law Susan, grandchildren Emma, James, Aoife, Luke, Evan and Ella, extended family, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his brother Tom and sister Margaret.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:

"Sincere sympathies to Bridie & the McLaughlin family on the passing of Jim. May he Rest in Peace."

Another reads: "Rest in peace Mr. McLoughlin, Condolences to all the family at this very sad time. He was a lovely man, had many a chat with him in Tescos."

A third user wrote: "My deepest sympathies to Bridie and all the family for the loss of Jim. My thoughts are with you all. May Jim rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing at his home “Quinagh House” R93 V741 on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11am in Holy Family Church, Askea, Carlow. Burial afterwards in Tinryland Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team

House private outside of reposing times, please.
