RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow native who was a 'loving kind lady' following her passing

Mary Brophy Moore - Monacurragh, Carlow and Kent - Saturday 10th May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Mary Brophy Moore of Monacurragh, Carlow formerly of Kent, England and Redhill, Ballyroan, Co Laois.

Mary passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on May 10th 2025, at her home in Carlow.

Beloved wife of Liam, cherished sister of Kathleen, Lizzie, Margaret, Ned, Eileen, Ann and the late Judy and John and treasured daughter of the late Paddy and Kit Moore.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Dear Liam, may I share my deepest condolences to you at this sad time. Mary was a loving kind lady. To the Moore and Brophy families may God give you strength in this sorrowful time.
RIP Mary."

Another reads:

"Sorry to hear of the passing of Mary ' going to school in Ballyroan walking from the Redhill in all kinds of weather ' Mary was a kind person 'I met her in Mountmellick Care Center about 2 years ago & she had a large amount of gifts for patients and staff ' it spoke Volumes about her 'a kindness and decency. May she rest in peace. Rip Mary."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (Eircode R93 C863) on Monday (May 12th) from 4pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Tuesday morning at 12 Noon to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny to arrive for Funeral Mass at 1pm.
