Senior council official says he 'may resign' if Upper Tullow Street works not done by Christmas

A Director of Services at Carlow County Council, Dan McInerney, has said he "may resign" if temporary resurfacing works on Upper Tullow Street are not completed by Christmas.

Mr McInerney said the plan is to "squeeze" the works in after Irish Water have completed their job but for the local authority to be "out before the Christmas shopping".
