Social media baffled at Lithuanian Eurovision Contestant holding up a Carlow flag
The Lithuanian Contestant Silvester Belt hoisted the Irish flag at the first Eurovision semi-finals
A great night for the Irish at the first semi-final of the Eurovision as Bambie Thug qualifies for the final on Saturday night, but something we did not expect to see was the Lithuanian contestant, Silvester Belt, holding up a Carlow flag.
The Lithuanian contestant who also qualified for Saturday nights final was then spotted with the old school Carlow Flag and social media were baffled.
One user said: "Alright, fess up. Who gave Lithuania's entry a Carlow flag? XD"
Another user wrote: "Whoever did that is a genius"
A third user then wrote: "The Carlow flag making its way into Silvester’s hands is one of the funniest moments so far this week."
