Carlow set to host all-inclusive rugby day next month as Bees welcome players of all ages

County Carlow Football Club is set to host a special inclusive rugby day later this month, as its all-inclusive Bees team welcomes players, families and supporters from across the region.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 28, at County Carlow Football Club in Oakpark and is open to both junior and senior participants of all ages.

Organised by the Bees, the club’s all-inclusive rugby team, the day will focus on participation, teamwork and enjoyment in a fully accessible and welcoming environment.

The initiative forms part of the club’s wider commitment to keeping rugby open and inclusive at grassroots level, with programmes like the Bees playing a key role in building confidence, encouraging physical activity and strengthening community connections.

Speaking ahead of the event, County Carlow Football Club President Aurlene Browne said the day was about far more than sport.

Families, junior and senior players, and community members are encouraged to attend and support what promises to be a positive, welcoming event focused on fun, connection, and shared experience.
