Met Éireann issue second Yellow weather warning for Carlow as temperatures remain in minus

On Friday morning any frost, ice, and mist or fog will gradually clear.

According to Met Éireann, it will be very cold and bright today with sunshine and the possibility of an isolated shower, possibly of hail or sleet.

Highest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees in just a light variable breeze.

Friday night will be mostly dry overnight, and very cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to -3 degrees with a widespread sharp frost and icy patches.

Mist and fog possible too.

A Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning is still in place for Carlow. Conditions are very cold with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas. Frost and ice developing will cause hazardous travelling conditions. This weather warning will remain in place until 12 noon Friday.

Met Éireann issued a second Status Yellow weather warning for Carlow that will come into place at 5pm Friday evening and remain until 12 noon Saturday, 2nd December. Conditions are expected to be very cold with widespread frost and icy conditions with fog and freezing fog too.

Possible impacts include; hazardous conditions on roads and paths, and travel disruptions.
