Any lingering rain and drizzle will clear from the southeast of the province Tuesday morning, with sunshine and showers following.

According to Met Éireann, it will be a noticeably colder day with highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees with west to northwest winds increasing moderate, occasionally fresh.

Tuesday night will see clear spells and a few showers at first, but becoming cloudier overnight with outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing.

Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees, occurring early on. Windy overnight with westerly winds increasing moderate to fresh.

Solar UV Index: Low

Wednesday 20th December will be a windy and mostly cloudy day, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

Mild, with highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds.

National Outlook: Mild and rather windy at times.
