Carlow Town finds itself in the spotlight of a cold front this Wednesday morning.
According to Carlow weather, residents of the area woke to a mysterious veil of fog. To navigate the misty streets cautiously, people are advised to drive with caution.
Met Éireann have predicted temperatures in the town to stay at 0°C this Wednesday, while overnight the temperatures could fall to -4°C in Carlow.
Across the country, Abbeyfeale weather station, situated on the Limerick/Kerry border, recorded a bone-chilling -6.0°C this morning, officially earning the title of the coldest station in the country.
Residents of Abbeyfeale and the surrounding areas woke up to frosty landscapes and icy conditions as temperatures plummeted.
